Today is day four and so far on track

Well, today I'm starting day four of phase one and I am already down 6.5lbs, this is actually the first day that I woke up and the scale didn't go down again. Not that I'm complaining, six and a half pounds isn't bad for three days. I've had mild headaches for three days, and today is the first day I didn't wake up with one. I'm hoping none will develop today. I've found my cravings pretty undercontrol with the exception of yesterday. I was craving convience more than anything..it's so much easier picking up a handful of crackers than some sort of protien or veggies. But i stayed faithful to the program and didn't cheat. The hard boiled eggs in the fridge saved me when I was in the rush..quick to eat and a good source of protien. I had made up some meat only cabbage rolls and they were pretty good, I didn't really miss the rice at all. I was thinking maybe the cabbage, and tomato juice they cooked in was too many carbs yesterday and thus increasing my cravings. I didn't drink too much of the juice but had lots of cabbage..what do you think? I'm pretty excited that I'm seeing movement on the scale again. I feel so much better now that I'm not constantly thinking about food, this diet has eliminated much of that.

well, the weather is beautiful here today so it should be easy to keep active and positive.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share my progress with you all, thanks.

Hi Suzanne - I am trailing you by one day on Phase 1. I also had a headache, but only the first 2 days. I'm glad that is gone! You are doing excellent, for having lost 6.5 lbs.! Good work. I'm scared to get on the scale yet, I may sneak a peak on the weekend.

I have to say I love your idea of the riceless cabbage rolls! What a tasty meal that would be. I am going to try that out.

My cravings have also diminished, mainly for sugar. I have a dish of candy on a side table that I never walked by before, but for 3 days I've completely forgotten about it.

Maybe we can keep an eye on each other, seeing we are only the 1 day apart in Phase 1! Have a nice evening,

Hi Debbie, that's great that you are sticking on program as well. Keep up the great work. I wish I had the willpower to not step on the scale, but that is one of my problems that I'm working on. I swear the scale calls out my name.lol I know that weight fluctuates day to day and time of day but I don't know why i feel compelled to step on it so often. I workout at the gym daily and one positive thing is the trainer there has measured me before each time she gives me a new weight routine. So at least I can see my progress in the way of inches as well. I've been doing well, up until the last few months,my weight loss had stopped, even though inches continue to go.down.See there I go again with the scale number..if i'm losing inches i should just throw away the scale right? geesh! Anyhow, I'm glad i've found the sbd. i have a feeling this is just what my body needed. I was so carb addicted..I would eat 90% of my food daily would be carb related. It has been an adjustment but so far so good. The cabbage roll idea came from my son, he loves them and was begging for me to make them. So I thought about it and said why do I have to feel left out, and simply left out the rice. It definitely tastes heavier in texture but still the great flavor I love. What i did was cook my batch overnight in the crockpot, and my husband and son's batch with rice during the day. Everyone was happy.

I'd love to keep an eye on each other. Keep up the great work..it's nice to know I'm not the only one going through this phase and it's challenges. ;0)
