I'm Michelle!! I've saw Susan in the workshop and loved her new sig. I was already thinking of trying this diet. Now I know it isn't just a diet it's a new way of life. I have put the whole family on it. My oldest son is 11 and has managed to gain 30lbs since he quit karate. He really needs to drop this weight and in a healthy way. My other two boys I just want them to eat better. So they have to have this plan for dinner. Also my SO really needs to lose but I know he won't do it willingly. I have added weight in the last several years. I've never really taken off my preggo weight. Plus I've alway's been on the heavy side.

I also have been following and amazingly sticking to this. By now I would have cheated on every other diet. So to me this really is not a diet it's just a better way of life. Last night we managed to walk a mile, boys in tow. Tonight with one boy and one rottie I manage to only walk a few blocks!! The dog was getting to much attention.

Anyway's I just wanted to introduce myself!!

Actually it was the ped how suggested it for him. A diet with low carb and low surgar. I even got Marylou Henners cookbook. But that was just too far out there for me. But now I'll have to look thru it again. He's AD/HD, and I've already seen a calming affect on him. He is eating breakfast with me in the morning which he nornally never ate. Then he eats school lunch, I told him not to worry about what he ate, except no fruit this and next week. He loves the laughing cow cheese on celery. I've also allowed him carrot's, he's not a very big veggie fan, so I'm just going to let him eat what he wants of that. With dinner he's been eating a very lean cut of meat and lot's of salad!! Then he's had some sort of desert, he loves SF Jello, the hard boiled eggs and nuts.

With the other two boys who are 4 and 2, they have been eating breakfast in the mornings with us. Then jump right into there carbo overload. AHHHH!! Cereal and crackers!! Yuck!! Then for lunch I also run an in home daycare. So I use the states guildlines set for us for a well balanced meal. Their snack is usually the same way. Then dinner they will eat the meat portion and salad, they are still frowning at all the veggies. I also have been adding really simple rice and pasta dishes for them. Then they have thier late night snack with me. Basically with them I'm just trying to get them to start eating better and not be so carb addicted, like me.

I thought with this diet the no ~ low carb would be my death with this diet. I'm not even craving bread. I actually had to dust the top of the bread machine yesterday. HMMMMMM maybe I'll just put it away for a while. Well until phase II when I can make that whole wheat loaf of bread. LOL! I also crave salty and that hasn't been bad either.

Sorry to ramble!!
