Bored by food, in day seven

Today is day seven for me and I am just plain bored with food right now. I just wander in the kitchen looking for something that appeals to me. I'm getting tired of all the veggies, eggs, cheese and meat. It's been really hard when I'm hungry because I never really feel fully satisfied like before i started this diet. I'm not really craving the breads so much as the variety of foods I could eat before. I made pancakes for my family this morning, and although they did smell good, I really was fine without them. That's a huge change from before. We had a dinner banquet, two nights ago and I was fine without the buns, pasta, and dessert. It looks and smell good but I don't feel that strong desire to eat them. I just wondered what they tasted like..it seems like forever since I've had that sort of stuff..strange? Hopefully this feeling of boredom will fade. I'm feeling a bit tired today as well, a bit moody the last two days..is this all part of this phase? Any suggestions on how i can get out of this funk? This whole phase one has been getting harder rather than easier as time goes on in the way of how I'm feeling...cravings and desire to munch has definitely gotten easier as time progresses. I guess it's a trade off of sorts. Maybe I just need a way to go, keep up the great work today.

It looks like Phase One is doing what it's supposed to be doing- getting rid of the cravings- so congratulations on being able to do it just a week! If you can hang in there one more week before moving onto Phase Two, that would help jump start the weight loss better. But if you feel like you might be so bored as to cheat- maybe move onto Phase Two by introducing it slowly. So far on Phase Two I haven't been bored with the food.

Sounds like you're doing great, even if a bit funky today (I have days like that!)

Thanks so much for the links. I appreciated the post below about receipes/tips. I guess I just have to rethink my food preparation/cooking methods. After eating high carbs for so long, it's hard to change old habits. Do you think it is worthwhile to buy the sbd cookbook? Or can I get most receipes online. I always like to save money if possible.

I can say the rest of my day has been better than it started. I was in such a mood this morning. My eating has been on track today..had a medeteranian chicken salad from subway, yummy! One of my snacks today was raw red/green/yellow peppers. Something I wouldn't have thought to do before because I don't like them much raw. I had them all chopped up for stir frys so I thought I would try them again raw. Well, I was surprized at how naturally sweet they were. I never noticed this before I started sbd..my tastebuds have become more attuned to flavors. I actually enjoyed it, much to my surprize.

Well, I'm hoping this next week will be a good one. I'm going to check out those links and find more ideas on foods. I love the idea below about the chicken parm. and chickpeas baked..can't wait to try them.

Thanks so much
