i know everyone is different but i'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect so i'm not disapointed! i'm on day 10 & have lost 6 lbs- i guess i'm wondering if it's normal to lose more than that in phase 1 ? should i expect to keep losing for the rest of phase 1 or not? i guess there is probably no way to answer this- everyone being different. so how much have YOU lost in phase 1??? thanks!

I think the book says the "average" is 8-13 lbs. but you are right, everyone is so different. Alot will depend on how well you ate before, if this isn't a huge change you won't lose as much right away, and if you don't have a lot of weight to lose it will come off slower as well.

I personally stayed on phase 1 for 3.5 weeks, losing a total of 9 lbs. I think I lost about 6 lbs. in the first 2 weeks. Overall, 6 lbs. in 10 days is great progress, keep it up and I bet you will see another pound or two (or maybe 3 or 4, LOL) gone by day 14.

It all depends on how much you have to lose, where your fat is located, how closely you follow the diet, your age, etc etc.


I had 15 to lose when I entered phase-1 and lost 6 lbs, and was exercising almost every day then.
