If I see *one* more EGG....

...I think I'm going to be SICK. I don't like eggs much to begin with, so the first couple of days of phase one have already been a struggle (I really like I'm going to die if I don't have a BAGEL. Just one little *crumb*!). I looked at the menus...and every morning, for 14 days, nothing but EGGS.

Anyone have any ideas as to how I can make it? Eggless breakfast suggestions?

Yesterday went ok, but today has not been so hot - I haven't cheated, but I have munched more frequently than 3 meals and two snacks.

Am I ever going to make it??

PS - My siggy has my pic - I am kinda scrawny, so just FYI I'm not doing this to lose weight - more to a)reduce carb cravings (as you can tell, I'm a bit overwhelmed by them, LOL) and b) to get more heart healthy...

TIA!!

I hear you on the eggs!!! Now, I am not an expert so I may not be much help, but since you do not need to lose weight maybe you could just start off with phase 2 of the diet?? Someone correct me if that is a bad idea. I started phase 2 today and I LOVED having that bowl of oatmeal for breakfast after 3.5 weeks of just eggs!!!

You could also have a yogurt for breakfast and just add more protein elsewhere. Also, if you haven't already tried the quiche cups you might want to. I added more egg than the recipe called for and they still didn't taste very "eggy", they call for a ton of veggies (I preferred the broccoli to the spinach) so the egg kind of gets lost in there.

I'm sure others will have better suggestions, I've only been at this a few weeks!

Thank you all!!

This morning I had a Pilates class, so in my time crunch I had the remaining 1/4c of vanilla creme from last night (this DID calm my sweet cravings remarkably), V8,

I hear you on the egg thing! I am in day 9 and I generally like eggs but they are really starting to turn me off. What I have been having lately for breakfast is light cottage cheese, drained well of the juice it comes in..then i put some splenda, and vanilla extract in and mix it well. Let it sit for a few minutes it blends the taste better. I really enjoy this, it is sweet, and definitely a nice change. I don't worry about getting my veggies in the morning as I usually have loads of veggies with lunch and dinner. The cottage cheese is quick too.. i usually drain a large tub of the cottage cheese when I get it so that it's ready to pour and eat. I use a large strainer, makes it quicker to do. I've also had the ricotta creme too.. I know these are listed as deserts but I'd rather this in the morning then at night. I can only stomach so much in the morning before my workout and these things sit well. If I'm still hungry I might throw in a few slices of turkey or some breast from a rotissere chicken. Hth Suzanne

Thanks!
