1st Day of Phase 1!

Today is my first day of Phase 1. I already had my V-8 and 2 quiche cups! They weren't bad at all, thank goodness! My husband is also doing this with me, although he's already grumbling about his days meals. He's a huge cookie addict! We went shopping last night for Phase 1 and although I was excited, I couldn't believe how much money I spent since I had almost nothing on the grocery list at home, which tells me we weren't very healthy to start with. I tried Weight Watchers with success last year, but I just had a lot of trouble "counting points" which is one of the reasons the SBD appealed to me so much. I lost 30 pounds before my wedding last July and have since put them all back on with the help of Trim Spa also. So I'm hoping that the SBD will be a turning point for me with no diet pills this time. Summers already here and I hate not being able to enjoy our pool because of how self conscious I am right now. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to prepare SBD meals for yourself and regular meals for children. We have an 8 and a 13 year old and they would just gag if I served them some of the meals on SBD!

Gina, a pretty typical dinner on South Beach is a lean protien, some veggies and/or legumes, and a salad.
