Just wondering how my day 10 people are

Hi all, I'm am nearing the end of day ten today and was wondering how my fellow day 10 people are doing. How is your cravings? How are you feeling? How much have you lost? Is it getting easier or harder?

I hope it is going well for all. I am feeling pretty good for day 10. Still struggling to get through my workouts, no longer having headache. Right now I am just battling constipation, something which I have never had with my irritable bowel syndrome. For awhile I was thinking hey, my IBS is better, less trips to the bathroom. Now it has gone in the other direction. I feel so bloated and sore in the abdomen. I'm trying to get in the water, still eating loads of veggies.

I have lost 10lbs to date on the sbd. My craving are minimal. I can't believe I haven't had chocolate in 10days, that is a pure miracle.lol What I'm finding now is that I just wonder alot what the 'bad' foods taste like. It seems like eternity since I've had them. I guess it's kinda like when you tell a child 'no' they want something even more. Some days are worse then others with these feelings. But so far the feelings haven't been strong enough to make me waste 10days of hard work.

Anyhow, let me know how you are doing and we can support each other.

Day 10 also and going strong!! I've only lost 6lbs, I've stalled for the last 3 day's!! LOL! I'm not worried, I've been adding in more fiber and I'm going to buy Metamusil tonight, maybe that will kick start things again. My cravings are gone although SO brought home a bag of chocolate covered cashews. I gave in and had one. I feel proud of myself because normally by now that whole bag would be gone. And you know it just did taste as good as I thought it would. I do feel like I have more energy. Hopefully I can get the rottie out tonight and go for a long walk at the park. If I walk in the neighborhood I get stoped every other house. I'm getting no exercise that way, well my mouth is but the rest of me isn't. Bear loves to power walk, and it's beautiful out!! So I'm trying to get dinner finished and get out of here for a while.

Total to date 6lbs

Way to go with losing 6lbs!! That's great news. It's good to hear that your cravings are not ruling your life anymore. It's funny how taste changes once you start this way of eating. I never realized how sweet green peppers were until I ate them this past week. It goes to show you that those carbs were ruling my life before. I tell you I ate probably 90-95% of my intake used to be some sort of carbs, and chocolate everyday. Now things have changed 100%. I can relate to the love of chocolate. Be proud of yourself for using restraint and being in control of your eating when temptation came a callin. It's a beautiful day here too. We spent the evening in the backyard playing batmintin(spelling??). Well, I hope you got your walk in. Have a fabulous evening. Keep up the great work. ;0)

I actually got to walk!! Even more than I thought I would!! I ended up staying home, but luckily no one stoped me till the end!! I first took our 10 month old German Shepard for a walk, well maybe he walked me, he's 75lbs and still growing. Then I came back and took my ds2, ds4 and the Rottie!! We walked for another 1/2 hour. I'm so glad I finally got to get out there.

Wow Michelle, you must have a huge house to be able to keep a shepard and rottie in it and still remain sane. Provided they are inside dogs.;0) I have a golden retriever, he is big at 95lbs. He gained some weight over the winter and now we are really working at bringing it back down. He is a 'presence' in our home. I can't imagine having two large dogs. The hair alone would drive me insane.

I'm glad to hear you got in your walk in. Keep up the great work.

Way to go Mandy on losing the 5lbs. Isn't it great not to crave those foods all the time? I find I'm so much more happy now that I'm not constantly thinking about food, esp. chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I have moments when I think, hmm, maybe just maybe one nibble and then I realize that it's not worth 10days of struggle, or a lifetime of unhappiness from being overweight. I made a vanilla custard last night and it was soooo good, if you like custard. I found the receipe below in the receipe section. The person who posted it made it with a cappucinno flavor but I opted just to do vanilla and cinnamon..very yummy. Reminded me of rice pudding without the rice. If you have a sweet tooth, you might want to check it out. I had some for breakfast and I felt like I was cheating.

Well, I'm off to the gym for my workout. Have a great day and keep up the great work! Suzanne ;0)

Hi, I'm on day 9 and have lost 6lbs so far. I agree that it has been an easy 6 lbs with no hunger. You have to try the gazpacho in the book if you haven't! It truly feels like an indulgence. I'm on the coast in central Florida and our weather is absolutely fabulous right now too and so I try and walk everyday. Also, went back to the YMCA after a 3 month respite to begin regular aerobic classes. I haven't seen all you gals up to this point on the board. I'll try and watch more carefully. I have a total of 26 lbs to lose and so am very happy that 6 are already gone!! Have a wonderful weekend and a great Mother's Day for those of you who have little ones.

Hooray for us!

I guess I better post here, since I was day 10 yesterday, too. I'm doing pretty well. Its getting a little easier this week now that some of the cravings have subsided and I've found a "niche" with my eating routine. I just have to be careful that my "niche" doesn't become a "RUT" lol I was getting sick of veggie omelets for brekkie, so I made a batch of "Veggie Quiche Cups" last night. Had 2 for breakfast this morning and they were pretty good (needed more salt, though). I haven't done any formal exercise yet, but I have 3 kids under 5, so for now that'll have to be exercise enough...they DO wear me out! ;o)

I lost 7 lbs the first week...looking forward to seeing what the scales do this week. :o)
