Gorgonzola & Alchol!

Okay, I just received an email that our director is closing the

office next Tuesday at noon and taking us to lunch to Dave & Busters

which is like a Chuck E. Cheeses for adults. I took a look at the

menu and found a sirloin steak under the "low carb" section, but it

has gorgonzola on it. Is this type of cheese okay for me?? I am on

Day 1 of Phase 1. Also, is there ANY type of alcohol I can drink

while on phase 1?? Even if it's one itty bitty drink???? Bacardi

and diet coke???

Thanks in advance for your support.

Gini, you aren't supposed to have any alcohol in phase 1... and only reduced fat cheese (but you can ask them not to put it on).

Thanks. I'm sure I'll be fine without the alcohol, just making sure:) There is now way I'm going to risk having to start Phase 1 over right now. I have a competition with my mother who's on weight watchers to see who will lose more weight. Only she doesn't know about the competition, cuz once I told her I started SBD, she laughed because she said I couldn't do weight watchers so why would I be able to do another diet. I think she'll be quite surprised though, don't you!

I've found that in eating at restaurants- the plainer, the easier it is to stay on SBD- some low carb choices are just too high fat/ high calorie (although we aren't counting either) I always make changes to whatever the meal is- "I'll have "insert here" but leave off the "insert here too" and can I have "insert here" instead of the fries. LOL! I also have selzer with lime to drink so that it at least feels festive!

Have fun!

Thank you so much. This is going to be very helpful. The past two nights I've been getting home at 6:00 from work and been up til like almost 9:00 making that nights dinner plus the next days meals according to the meal plans in the book. I go to school also so after making all the food I still have to stay up to study and then get up at 4:30 the next morning!! Using the guide you sent will make this muich easier if I don't have time to make the meals exactly as in the book.

Thank you!!
