Nothing to eat while babysitting!

Ok, so I'll be babysitting from 8-4 Mon-Thu for 3 weeks. Today was my second day, and for this SBD, THEY HAVE NOTHING FOR ME!!! All they have is cheese, eggs, hotdogs, and honey ham. The rest is "4-year old food": fruit snacks, chips, mac 'n' cheese, frozen pizzas. I'll feel rude if I bring my own stuff, especially if I have to put it in their refrigerator because the parents come home to eat lunch. They asked me a few days ago if I'd like anything specific, but of course I was polite and said no thanks. What should I do???? Thanks a bunch!

suck it up and bring your own food. and enough to share with the kids as well.

I highly doubt the kids will like tuna and stuff! Besides, their mom has me cook them whatever they want, which is usually hot dogs and mac 'n' cheese. Thanks!

Lisa,

Why not pack your lunch and snacks in a small, soft-sided cooler with an ice-pak? If someone questions you and you don't want to explain that you are dieting, just say that you just find it easier to bring your own foods. I don't believe they would think you were rude!

I agree, either ask the mom to buy a few things for you (deli turkey, salads, etc) or just bring your lunch as you would if you were at work in an office.
