My sister-in-law bought me a food steamer for Christmas, and I just pulled it out tonight.

I have a stupid question.

Can I use it to steam frozen vegetables? Do I need to thaw them first or do I just throw them in frozen? The instruction booklet isn't terribly clear. I've got quite a lot of frozen stuff in my freezer that I should probably use up before buying fresh produce.

I feel very dumb.

Go for it!! I had a steamer and I would put anything in it, including frz veggies. They come out just great. If you think about it, putting them in the microwave is the same as steaming. Usually it will require you to put a 1T of H2O, which is steaming.

Enjoy your steamer, I did until I wore it out!! :)
