Is two weeks in Phase 1 really necessary? What if I was to move into Phase II after 1 week?

the fact that you are asking the question does not mean that you are still too sensitive to carbs to re-introduce them?

Good luck!

It took me the full two weeks to banish carb cravings. If you can do it in less time, my hat is off to you!! You MUST get over the carbs or you will not have success on this program, in my opinion.

Good luck to you!

Thanks for the support! I'm definitely still craving. I went to the mall today and there was junk food everywhere and I felt like I was going to pass out. I think it's because I would eat relatively healthy during the week and weekends were my free time to eat whatever I wanted. I've lost 4 pounds already so that's about a pound a day. I'm trying to stay motivated that way.

Good for you!! I had a real hard time on Phase I but was so glad I hung in there (lots of tears and stress until cravings went away). Changed my whole approach to food.

I let myself have on splurge night (sat) where we can have anything we want. I still lost 25 pounds and never felt deprived!!

Again, good luck!

If you are still craving (and cheating on weekends) I think you should stay on phase-2, unless a little fruit will keep you from eating the "bad" carbs/fats?

Well, I'm only on Day 5 of P1 and I haven't cheated yet. I'm very proud of myself because I love sweets and it has taken a lot determination for me to get through the 5 days. I'm looking forward to moving on to P2.

If I do cheat on P1, do I have to start over?

If you cheat you do not have to start over.... but try not to cheat.
