Help! I gained a pound back!

I can't seem to stop snacking on cashews. I've gained 1 pound back already and I'm only on Day 6 P1. Any ideas for other snacks? I'm getting sick of veggies, don't like eggs, cheese is tolerable.

Other snacks: Lowfat/nonfat cottage cheese (tastes great with fresh salsa stirred in), a small bowl of soup or chili, roasted garbonzo beans, lunch meat, hummus....

I would put those cashews away, those can be a diet buster! Also, don't fret over a pound, it's just a pound, there are so many reasons why that pound is there... water, scale off.. etc.

Grab the measuring tape and use that to gauge your successes, throw that scale away.

Thanks for the tips! I don't like cottage cheese, but I'll try it with salsa. Cream cheese is great with salsa so maybe this will be the great diet version. I'm guilty of weighing myself everyday, but I've been doing it for years and it helps me get back on track quickly. A friend and I started doing it a couple of years ago after a doctor suggesting it.

I'm not packing cashews for a snack tomorrow!

Nuts are SO YUMMY - I get totally carried away with them pretty easy, too. The thing that helped me get through P1 was celery. No joke!! Anything I could put in one piece of celery was game. Snack would be two pieces of celery with whatever I could stick in 'em.


1 T natural peanut butter fits perfectly in one stick. Or hummus. Or one wedge of Laughing Cow Light. Or Alouette Light.


I also did the roll ups, without lettuce, though - just a couple of slices of lean deli meat and a slice of LF cheese, with some of the cilantro mayo. I would do a couple of these, or one of these and one celery stick.


They did a great job of filling me up and keeping me sane!!
