Day 4: 5lbs gone!

Just checking in.

It's my fourth day on the diet and I've lost 5 lbs so far! I've been really strict on myself... and whenever I have a sugar craving I eat sugar free jello. It's been hard, especially because I work at a hospital and the girls are always bringing in junk food... I had to curb myself from eating a delicious looking cake yesterday.

I'm going to start to add exercise regularly into my daily regiment. It's funny but I'm trying to learn how to skateboard with my husband and then making use of my gym membership.

I'm really excited about the results so far... but I've got to admit, I'm getting real sick of having eggs for breakfast (blech!)

Thanks for reading!

Way to Go Becky!!! You're really doing well. Are you taking measurements, too? After the initial woosh of weight loss, if you stall for a few days (as I usually do after a good loss), see how your clothes are fitting and compare measurements. You'll likely lose inches even if you're not budging on the scale. Adding exercise is wonderful. You're braver than me with the scateboarding. LOL!

You don't have to eat only eggs for breakfast. Have you tried cottage cheese, yogurt, or light meat & cheese with some veggies?

I now have the new SB cookbook and am looking forward to trying out some new recipies. I'll let everyone know which ones turn out well and maybe we can share with each other some new ideas for breakfast as well as other meals. :-)

Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! Today is day 5 for me and I've had a 6 lb lose. :) As for the eggs for breakfast, I have fixed them a few different ways over the past few days, so it's keeping the boredom at bay. One day I made an omelet with lots of veggies, once I had fried egg topped with canadian bacon and melted swiss cheese, and twice I made the mock hollandaise sauce from the book and heated some frozen spinach, fried an egg and a piece of canadian bacon, put it on top of the spinach and topped it all with the hollandaise sauce. YUM! One day we were traveling so I had McDonald's Egg McMuffins minus the McMuffin.
