Starting P1 again

Hi all!

I'm on day 2 of P1. I started over again in hopes that I can lose the last, pesky 5 lbs. I definitely need a jump start, and hopefully P1 can do it for me!

One problem...we are taking the kids to the Rainforest Cafe tomorrow. I would love to have the China Island Chicken salad, but it has those crunchy things in it. Anyone familiar with this restaraunt? Any suggestions on some SBD friendly foods they might have there?

TIA!

I think the dressing is sweet too.

Leaping Lizard Lettuce wraps look ok, just ask them to omit the carrots.

Paradise house salad - omit carrots, make best choice for dressing. Ask them to add grilled shrimp or chicken.

The caesar salad with grilled shrimp is awesome (I have had that before).

Cobb salad would be ok if they will omit the bacon & go light on the blue cheese (its a special occassion after-all).

The plant sandwich sounds yummy, just skip the bread - ask for side salad instead.

The rain forest natural burger would be great if you skipped the bun and asked them to give you a salad instead of the brown rice.

The Tuscan chicken sounds ok. but ask for salad instead of mashed potatoes.

Either of the steaks are lean (the tenderloin is the better of the two), but again skip the mashed potatoes.

Good luck!

Oh gosh! I totally blew it! The minute we sat down all thoughts of diet were out the window. We shared a mixed appetizer platter that was definitely non-SBD-friendly, then had the China Island Chicken Salad, then split a dessert. Ugh!!

This seems to be my pattern...I try to go back on P1 for a few days, then cheat, go back, then cheat, etc... I did great the first time around on P1, really stuck to it. Then I never really made it to P2. I did a few days of P2, then decided to go back on P1, and my pattern started....few days of P1, a day of cheating. Hmmm...I wonder why I sabotage myself when I only have five more lbs. to go?!?

Anyway...I paid for my overindulgence last night with a tummy ache from eating all that junk. I'm back on P1 today...my question is: do I go to day three, or am I supposed to start over from day one?

Wish me luck!

Shiree I think you need to sit yourself down and ask yourself if you really want to lose weight, or to just maintain and eat healthier most of the time.

Yes, I am definitley in!! I should be able to do this for two weeks again (psyching myself up)... Today I had 1/4 cup scrambled egg beaters with some low fat mozzerella cheese, two slices of turkey bacon, decaf tea with a dash of skim milk and a packet of splenda, and a 6 oz V8 for breakfast. For my mid-morning snack I had a part skim string cheese stick, a can of Diet-Rite, and a cup of tea with a dash of skim milk and a splenda packet. So I think I'm doing okay so far.

Thank you for the support. I REALLY need it!! I don't want to slip into my pattern again. I want to make it to P2 and actually DO P2 this time!! : )

Good luck to us!
