Hi everyone. I wanted to start the South Beach Diet Phase 1 as soon as possible, but a little bit confused on some of the foods to eat or not to eat.
I have eggs which is not a problem. This might sound stupid, but what did it mean when it said an egg liquid subsitute? I wasn't sure if the book meant egg whites.
Then I went to the store to get the food for phase 1. I couldn't find unsalted pistachos, and the regular ones were insane (believe me, you don't want to know) and the store didn't even have peanuts. I did manage to get low fat turkey, celery, and plenty of salad, but how can I make it through Phase 1 if I can't even purchase all of the foods?
Anyways, I was just hoping if I could do Phase 1 if I only have eggs, celery, salad, tuna, and low fat turkey?
And you can't have carbs in phase 1.

a name brand of liquid egg substitute is Egg Beaters.
Pistachios don't have to be unsalted.
Have you seen the full list of phase 1 foods? There's a HECK OF A LOT more things to eat than eggs, salad, celery, tuna and turkey.

Hi and welcome!
The link that 'somerandomthoughts' gave you is the full phase 1 foods list. Be sure to print it out and use it when plannig meals and going grocery shopping.
Hi,
Welcome to the board!
There's no reason to use liquid egg substitute if you're fine with using real eggs.
