Hi everyone,

Its only Day 1 for me. However, here is my dilemma. For about a week, I followed a strict diet, limiting my junk food and only eating salad. I lost 9 pounds-in one week. Now, my metabolism is completly out of whack, and I need to get it back so I can lose weight.
What I'm worried about is what I ate today that I won't lose any weight at all.

Breakfast:

Plain white non-fat yogurt
1/2 cup of cucumbers
2 pieces of extra lean turkey bacon

Lunch+Snack

Salad with 3 pieces of turkey, no dressing

Snack: 1 stalk of celery, plain and 1 string cheese the part-skim healthy kind

Afternoon snack: 1 string cheese, the part-skim healthy kind

Dinner tonight is going to be a salad (w/out carrots) with tuna on top.

Dessert: Jello Sugar free 10 cal

Does this sound like a good start for the first day?

If you have been on a semi-fast for the past week, you may find that you will gain a few pounds when starting SBD. You shouldn't set your sites on losing weight each day. This is an eating plan for life and losing weight and sustaining weight loss is not something that happens over night. Those who are successful with losing weight and keeping it off are those who have committed to a heatlthier way of eating for life.

Your menu sounds good for the first day. Just remember to try new foods and menus to keep you interested - salad everyday can get very boring. Check out our recipe section and our member's journals for some great ideas. Also, you may have salad dressing on SB! Our guideline is that there should be no more than 3 grams of sugar per serving (as listed on the nutrition panel). There are MANY that fit this guideline, as well as vinaigrette you can make at home.

Let us know if you have any more questions, we are always happy to help ;-)
