I've really got to get serious about this, and not just whimp out again!!! My health and well-being really depend upon it.

Would you critique my plan for tomorrow? Thanks.

AM - 1/2 caf, 1/2 decaf coffee with 1 tbls. plain soy cream
6 egg-white plain omelette
3 oz. low-fat soy cheese

Snack: fat-free plain yoghurt with splenda

Lunch - big salad with skinless rotisserie chicken, olive oil vinigraite, maybe some chick peas or avocado thrown in.

Snack: either almond or peanut butter (2 tablespoons)

Dinner - More salad and skinless chicken (have to finish it up!) with olive oil vinigraitte - and O.K., O.K! ONE small glass of wine! Don't beat me up!!! (...it's a special occasion!)

Water!!! Swimming!!! Must do this!!! I'm going to check in daily, so thanks for your help!!! I've got until October 1 to lose some weight and lower my cholesteral before they put me on medication! Dr. suggested South Beach - also, fyi, I don't eat any red meat.

Perhaps you could put your almond or peanut butter on some celery? That would get some more veggies in, without adding calories. (Celery is a negative-calorie food, or so I've been taught.) ;)

Thank you so much for your replies! I'm taking your suggestions...here's my re-vamped first day meal:

B - coffee/soy cream
egg-white omelette
soy cheese

S - celery sticks with low-fat cottage cheese

L - white meat chicken(!), skinless, over salad with vinigraite and chick peas

S - 1 tablespoon peanut butter, fat-free plain yoghurt with splenda

D - stir-fry vegetables with tofu and olive oil ( the chicken will hold over!)

This way I get in my extra veggies with the stir-fry and celery sticks, and extra dairy with the cottage cheese

Thanks so much...yes, I feel I can really do it this time. And my darling husband is such a dear...I told him I'm re-starting the SB diet with a vengeance, and I really need his help...and he surprised me with some extra motivation...a cruise next Spring to Europe! Well, if that doesn't knock me into shape, nothing will!!!

Thanks you guys - I really need to do this for my health and well-being...I'm so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired all the time...I want my body back!!!!

Hi Lucky,

Much better except for one thing.

Whoops! You're right about the cottage cheese - would the soy cheese or tofu also count as a protein instead of dairy? I'll try better tomorrow!
Which cruise did you take? We're talking about the Celebrity Constellation.

Thanks!

This will help with the dairy.
