Your menu looks pretty good.

The main thing that stands out is the cheese.

Looks like you did a great job cutting back on the cheese. Unfortunately though, strip steak is not a lean cut of beef and not on the approved list. Try london broil or flank steak next time.

Were you satisfied after breakfast? It seems on the small side. A couple of slices of turkey bacon might make this meal a little more satisfying!

Keep up the good work = you are on the right track!!

Hi csclafani! I was reading your post and couldn't help but compare your first two weeks to mine. I had lost 3 lbs in the first couple days and then NOTHING. I was frustrated and wondering what I could possibly be doing wrong. I too, may have been eating too much cheese, so I cut that back, but the real thing that helped was I drank A LOT of water. That helped a lot. It took until the 14th day until I lost 1.5 more pounds. I am on the 7 th week of the diet now (W5 - P2), and I'm down almost 8 lbs and water is still my "magic weight loss elixir". I just wanted to remind you that you will keep losing!! I was hoping to be one of those lucky people that lose 10lbs in the first two weeks, unfortunately that's just not the way it's going to work for me, but that's OK - it still comes off and it will for you too. My DF said to me one day when I was particularly frustrated, "I know what your alternative is, that you haven't thought of - just stop eating." It made me laugh, b/c he is right - there is no real other way to lose weight accept to eat healthy and work out. Which is exactly what we are doing on SBD! So keep up the good work! Best of Luck!

Lori, Thanks a lot for the pep talk! I need it. Your friend made a good point. I do drink a ton of water. i love it. It's all I drink, really. Do you have a lot to lose? I want to lose 15-20 pounds. Thanks again and congrats on your weight loss.

Cristina - You are welcome! I started with a goal of 22 lbs to lose, though I would gladly settle for 15 lbs lost, especially if I have increased my muscle along the way. Now that I'm thinking of it, we don't have that much to lose, so that could also explain why it goes a little slower, especially when we get down to the last 5-10 lbs. Hope you are doing well! Lori

I'm new to SBD and to this message board, but a couple of things I've learned through reading the book and various articles is: (1) the less you have to lose, the slower you will lose it, and (2) weighing yourself daily is only going to discourage you - stick to the plan and go by how your clothes fit.

Now, I have a lot to lose, so I'm hoping it comes off quickly. ;-) But if your goal is about 20 pounds, it might take a while because your body is already on the right track. So I'd take that as a good sign.

Hang in there, and good luck to you!

Lori,
I am the same way. I would love to lose 2 pounds but at this point I think I wouldbe happy with 15. I cut down a lot on the cheese and have been really concious baout my portions. I hope this helps to kick me into losing gear!! Tomorrow is my last day on phas eone and I am so nervous to p2. I am scared I will gain back the few pounds I did lose!! Was it hard switching? Did you lose more in p2? I hope Istart to lose again!
