Hey all,
I've lurked on this website for quite some time, as I've gone off and on SBD. (I've lost close to 40 lbs just in lifestyle changes!) Unfortunately, I haven't been good to myself in the past few months and have gained quite a bit of weight for my small frame. I'm going through some relationship upheaval and stress about a new job, but am ready to get at least this part of my life back in order :)
I know I'm not good on the SBD unless I have someone to keep me accountable. Since I'm going to be travelling for awhile, I really hope this board and its wonderful members will do that for me!
So anyhow, here are today's starting stats (estimated since it's been awhile since I've been on a scale)
H: 5' 2"
W: 122 lbs
Goal: 110 lbs
The hardest things for me are 1) foregoing sweets and 2) foregoing wine (the new job has a lot of mingling with clients and the like.) But I'm determined to do it this time! Because I deserve it :)
Wish me luck! I'm going to try and update close to daily. I hope it doesn't drive everyone bonkers :P

Good luck Tricia -- but truthfully, it isn't luck, it's *persistance* that will get you through this. Use the board (and us) to ask questions, post your meals, look for recipes, find inspiration, vent, and generally keep moving forward. Make sure you read the links about getting started, print out the foods to enjoy lists, and most importantly, EAT what you're supposed to. I've found that I really don't miss the "forbidden foods" much if I make sure I'm really getting in all my fruits, veggies, protein, and sweet treats. If you're absolutely miserable in Phase 1, go ahead and move on to Phase 2. I personally never did Phase 1 cause I had switched over from a different low carb diet and didn't feel I had uncontrollable carb cravings.

You will do awesome on the diet. The first Day, and the first 3 days are the hardest, but totally worth every minute. Your body will thank you too.
