Hello everyone. My name is Christine and my DH and I started today with Phase 1. I have been lurking about a week trying to get the basics.

Here is our menu today. Let me know if I should make any changes.

Breakfast
6 oz V8
1 egg cooked with a small amount of smart balance
2 slices canadian bacon

snack
reduced fat cheese stick

lunch
romaine
tomato
green pepper
cucumber
celery
tuna
2 tbsp south beach italian dressing

sugar free jello with 1 tsp reduced fat cool whip

snack
15 almonds for me
celery with 2 tbsp smuckers natural for DH

Dinner
pork loin
veggie

desert
sugar free fudgecicle

Please let me know if I should make any changes. I read today about having milk. I will add that to dinner tonight. Also, I have a big package of splenda (not the packets) Is a packet equal to a teaspoon? I was previously on WW and this seems like I am eating so much more. I am excited and nervous.

Thanks so much!!!

Hi and welcome to you and your hubby!!

Your menu looks picture perfect for phase 1 (provided you add the dairy you mentioned)! Your getting a minimum of 4.5 cups of veggies, right?

Splenda in the packets is more concentrated than the 'pourable' version. The 'pourable' stuff is measured like sugar. Either way, there's no need to measure...just use it 'to taste'.

Good luck and let us know if you need anything....I'm glad you decided to join us!

I know how you feel!! I did ww before too. It's weird-and liberating-to not have to count every little thing. Yeah, you could eat whatever you wanted but at the sacrifice of something else. And who wants to eat twenty sticks of celery a day?? Anyways, welcome-the people here are great. Patient when you have a fillion questions, and quick with answers.
