PMS cravings and SBD

I must be PMSing. None of my Cravings foods are on my "list," and it's killing me. I didn't think of that when I started SBD - just picked a date and went.
Nothing tastes right, nothing sounds appealing, and I'm not particularly hungry this week. I've been loving all the veggies, the chicken and lean steaks, the salads. I have had no complaints at all, and it's really not been that difficult.
Except now... I really want a dinner roll, dripping with butter. A big bowl of pasta. Chocolate bars. Potato chips and onion dip. A Big Mac. Nothing that's at all good for me, food that would probably make me feel crummy now (since it always pretty much did anyway), and it would take more of an effort to go to the store and get it than it's even remotely worth. Because I'm lazy, too. ;-)
I can't live on "chocolate peanut butter cups" alone, even if they're "allowed." (THANK YOU so much for that recipe! They're a lifesaver!) I crunched on some edamame yesterday, sprinkled with salt, to give me that salty crunchy fix, but it just wasn't the same as consuming a bag of Fritos. Ricotta cremes are okay, maybe they'd be better if I blended them or something to make them a little more creamy, but the taste is good and it helps.
Four more days of Phase I. I can do this. Two more 'til AF gets here, and the cravings go away again. Can I do this? I can do this. I think I can do this.

Even though you are not hungry - keep eating and choose wisely. You can get thru this. Look how far you've come -- only 4 more days!!!!!!
I forced myself to go to Subway and get a salad. It wasn't very good, but then nothing tastes good to me, so oh well.
But then I found my redemption: It's A Grind has sugar-free caramel flavoring! I got myself a a decaf, nonfat, iced sugar-free caramal macchiato - Yum! It's the one thing I miss most, my caramel macchiatos. Starbucks uses real caramel, so no sugar-free there. But It's A Grind uses DaVinci syrups, and they have sugar-free caramel!
I'm a-gonna make it, girls! And, AF appeared a day early. Usually she's a mean nasty auntie, but she had grace on me this month (I'm also TTC, so it's not usually a happy sign).
Thanks for the support!

Have you seen this peanut butter cookie recipe from the board:
Peanut Butter Cookies (all phases)
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Egg
1 Cup granular Splenda
Beat egg. Mix together all ingredients. Spoon quarter-sized balls onto a
baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and flatten with fork. For a sugary taste, dip the bottom of a glass into granular Splenda, and press it on top of each cookie.
Bake for 10-12 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.
Talk about a god-sent. I make a batch once a month just for this reason. A few years ago my mom discovered she's allergic to chocolate. She now swears that peanut butter is the closest thing that can cure a craving. Boy is she right.
You can get through this. Good luck!

I don't know why, but I was under the impression that these peanut butter cookies were for after Phase I. I have the recipe in one of my books, and was waiting to try it out. I've been surviving my cravings by doing the peanut butter cup (the one with the fudgecicle - YUM!), but the cookies sound good too.
I made it though the worst of my cravings. It was a big incentive to step on the scale and see what I've lost, not to go back to eating crap. I think I'm starting to slip a little towards the end of Phase I - I'm a little more liberal with my dressing, sometimes, and I had a tortilla chip at dinner tonight (gasp! oh the horror! and entire chip! ;-), but overall I've been able to stick to the diet.
I'm looking forward to Phase II, though. I miss pasta. And there's a rice at Trader Joe's that is just yummy - I don't remember what it's called, but it's a brown rice with radish seeds in it? Very cool texture, and very tastey.
Now I'm just rambling. Thanks for the cookie recipe! I'll try it out this weekend. =)
