Lemons in Phase 1

I think I may have screwed up in phase 1. I made Chicken breasts with asparagus and cooked it in a lemon/chicken broth base.
Tasted really good but now I am worried about the lemons. Are they allowed in phase 1?

Lemons and limes are fine in all phases.
Aren't Lemons considered a fruit? Limes too?
thanks
I'm not the expert, but from what I understand the acidity in lemons and limes counteracts the sugar. It's the same reason why sourdough bread is better for you than regular white bread.
I'm not much of one to follow recipes, but I looked through the recipes in the SBD book and the SBD 30-minute cookbook, and tried to get a hang of the ingredients used. Many recipes in Phase I call for lemon juice and/or lemon zest. The Lemon Ginger Chicken is *really* tastey.
