Dairy or No Dairy???

Hello Everyone,
We've been doing Phase 1 for a week now. I've been using your site for recipes and snack ideas which has been great! I noticed that the South Beach Diet book says no dairy but you've listed it on your website as okay. So is it okay to have now, is the book just outdated? Thanks for the help!

Yes, the original edition of the book is now out of date. Dairy is an important part of South Beach. In phase 1 you should get 1 to 2 cups of dairy. In phase 2, 2-3 cups per day.
On South Beach, dairy is skim or 1% milk, plain fat-free yogurt, or plain (or artificially sweetened) soy milk.
