Welcome to South Beach! Have you read The South Beach Diet by Dr. Arthur Agatston? This is the foundation to this way of eating, and is highly recommended reading.
To get many detailed answers to virtually all of your questions, use the search engine at the top of this board where it says find messages about. Enter any keyword or phrase in the box and you'll get dozens of answers. We also have an advanced search at the top of the page. Additionally, feel free to ask questions. We are all here to help you.
Don't miss the Recipes, Meals and More folder, lower on this board. Scroll down to find it. It's filled with thousands of member-recommended, and many member-created SBD friendly recipes! You won't find some of these anywhere else! You can never get bored on South Beach if you keep it tasty, delicious and creative. Even non-cooks can make many of our simple, quick and easy, and family-friendly recipes.
Our Diet and Fitness Journal folder is a great place to do some meal planning. You can use it to track your eating, as a blog or any other way that is helpful to you. You may even find others 'dropping in' with some suggestions from time to time. Many of us feel that keeping a food journal helps to keep us accountable and on track!!
