NEW TO SOUTHBEACH - PHASE 1 STARTS TODAY

Hello everyone,

I've just finish reading the South Beach book. I am starting phase 1 today at 252lbs standing 5'5. I have been heavy all my life and I have never dieted or started a program to help me lose weight. Any advice or pep talk would help. It sounds weird but I am scared of failing while doing phase 1. I am scared to death I may mess up. I hope to hear from you all soon.

ohh my god, I made it to day four, I am so proud of myself. I usually think about food 24-7 but I been so stressed out and busy. I keep the SBD book in my person with my pages tabbed, I have the list almost memorized and I am so happy - I haven't cheated. However, I am not eating as frequent as I should. I still need to eat more constantly but ice tea and water has become my new best friends. Ice tea unsweetned with 2 spendas - by the way the lipton unsweeten tea in the bottle is great for when your on the run, I carry spenda with me in my purse - i just add and shake. I've had tacos this week with broccoli, red, yellow, green peppers with onions -- strange but it was so good sans the shells in the place of plenty of spinach for lettuce. I am learning and trying my best. Thank you all for encouragement and helping me through this.

I almost cheated today, my job had free pizza ohh my goodness, I went out to get a salad and had a modified Cobb Salad. I feel good but the smell. Wow! Wish me luck for the weekend, that's what really scares me.

I made it through the weekend, I had a great weekend. How was everyones. I had shrimp creole sans the white rice. I sauteed green onions and red with I can't believe its not, added some tomatoe paste and sauce (make sure you get the stuff without sugar added), red pepper flakes, cayanne pepper, and some sea salt to taste, add in raw cleaned shrimp- great and yummy. I also had mine on topof spinach and froze my uneaten portions. I also had blacken chicken breast w/ greens. I am so trying, with all the stress from work - I may be losing my job- this is the only thing I seem to have control over, tomorrow will be officially week 1 on phase 1. Thank you all so much for all your help.
