Hi, My name is Margaret and I am on day 5 of phase 1. I started SB weighing 220 and am now 214, so not bad! My short term goal is to get to 190, and then I would like to get pregnant with my second child.
Anyways, does any one have any ideas for breakfast, besides eggs? I am not really an egg eater and am getting pretty sick of them.
Thanks!
Margaret

Welcome Margaret! You are off to a great start! Mini goals are a great way to motivate.
Here is a link with all kinds of breakfast ideas for phase 1:

GREAT JOB!
Today is day 7 for my husband and I (Aaron and Andrea). I have lost 7lbs so far!!!!
I have found this board to be the best thing ever...especially when I feel the need to snack here at work. I just log in and read some posts (and drinks more Crystal light) and the hope the naging craving goes away. It is mostly out of habit....that is the hardest part....breaking the cycle. BUT, that is why we are here and doing something about it.
Keep up the good work and awesome job on the weight loss so far!

Thank you so much for your encouragement! I am a stay at home mom, and am constantly tempted. But my temptation is salty/crunchy stuff. But I need to be thinner and healthier. I can't believe that I let myself get this heavy. Oh well...
Margaret
Margaret,
To combat the salty crunchy cravings in phase 1, try roasted garbanzo beans. Just rinse them, dry them and season them with salt and pepper and any other herbs you like. Then roast them until they become crispy.
That sounds great! I'll give it a try tomorrow.
Margaret
Margaret, I'm a salty/crunchy foodie too -- give me a bag of Cheetos/Doritos/Fritos and I'm in heaven. :-) If I'm dying for something along those lines, I'll have sunflower seeds, nuts, or roasted soybeans (soy nuts). And a mini-bag of microwave popcorn or Kettle Korn works great during Phase 2 as a grain serving.
HTH,
Mags (also a SAHM Margaret)
Wow, staying at home would make it difficult too. It is so hard, but believing in yourself and setting up non-food rewards helps out. Plus the small goals are the best way to go.
Did you try those roasted Garbonzo things? What are they and were they any good?
