I'm back, thank you all for your support and your advice. So, I have been on Phase 1 of the SBD for 2 weeks and 3 days. I lost 12lbs, I finally got on the scale and I cried. I am so happy. I am thinking of doing one more week since I am on my, maybe get down to 200lbs then switch over. What do you all think?

It's not recommended to stay on phase 1 longer than one week unless you have more than 100 pounds to lose. Personally, I would move on to phase 2 because the variety of added foods will help you avoid boredom and hopefully keep you from straying.
CL-Cathy posted some important information on the temptation to stay longer on Phase 1. Check it out here: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-fbsouthbeach&msg=22360.1&ctx=128
Either way, let us know what you decide to do!
I barely lost anything on Phase I and was very discouraged. But I moved on to Phase II anyway and have been slowly but surely losing weight.
You lost quite a bit of weight early on and there's no reason to stay on Phase I. You will continue to lose in Phase II.
I was nervous about adding more foods to - particularly since I didn't lose anything the first two weeks (Phase I). I thought I'd never lose anything on Phase 2.
But Phase 2 is really more about losing weight; not Phase 1. You just got lucky like many others and managed to lsoe weight during that phase but that phase is primarily for detoxing your body and getting it used to having less sugar in your system.
By following the recommended regime of slowly adding back fruits and fiber, you'll have a healthier, well-rounded diet and will lose weight. :)
