I was on the beach about 3 years ago to lose 10 pounds that had crept back on and had amazing success. Lost 'em all and kept them all off until I got pg with my third (and final!!) child. Well, Alexander is now a year old and I still have 10 lbs to lose. And, ick, it is all around my belly. So here I am back on the beach. No complaints, really, and I am having fun.
I am doing a modified P1. I am following it strictly with the exception that I am having an apple a day. I am still nursing A 2 to 3 times a day and with all the chasing around I do I find that my apple helps a lot!
I know the rules have changed a bit and that we are now allowed non-fat sugar free yogurt so I have been having one a day. A total saving grace! I have been adding instant coffee (deelish!) or natural PB or even vanilla, or almond extract to give the yogurts extra oomph and flavoring!
On Friday evening I was out with my family at a party and I was very well behaved excpet for my glass of wine, but it was red ;) and I would have much rather cheated with that than a piece of cake or a cookie or something.
I have a couple of questions... I have the old book and really see no point in purchasing the new one, what else has been added over the past couple of years that I might not know about. Is there is a link or a thread that has been posted that someone could share with me?
And the second is this... last Thursday I had a 6 pound weight loss! This morning 3 of those pounds have magically crept back on. I wonder why? I did have a huge salad late last night and that could be partly to blame... it could be that AF is due at the end of the week... could there be any other reason?
Anyhow, I am looking to getting back on track as I have been just awful with my eating habits in the last year with the demands of three kids, one of which was a newborn! I look forward to getting to know all of you and re-meeting some familiar names!
Oh... can I add pumpkin puree to vanilla yogurt? I have no idea whether it is any good, but I love pumpkin and it is that time of year again so I thought I would conduct an experiment!
Ok., I will shut up now!
