vegetable question & feeling too full

Hi,
I've been reading these boards a lot but this is my first post. I've been doing phase 1 for 4 days and I've lost 5 lbs so I'm really motivated. I don't have much weight to lose--maybe 10 lbs more. Basically, I started this because my pants were feeling too tight and I was having trouble controlling my cravings for sugar. I was eating terribly and feeling bad most of the day. The foods I ate consisted mostly of processed flour and sugar.
Anyway, I've never really liked vegetables so it's a struggle for me to eat even the minimum amount. I just ate a big romaine lettuce salad with 3 oz. tuna, a few grape tomatoes and pine nuts with a small amount of olive oil & balsamic vinegar dressing. Now I feel so full that it's uncomfortable. I feel like I'm forcing myself to overeat the vegetables and that can't be good for weight loss.
My question is what happens if you don't get enough vegetables? Are all the vegetables required so that you don't feel hungry throughout the day, and if so, can I cut back on them so I don't feel so stuffed after a meal? Another thing, my protein portions are small but I sort of feel like I'm on the Adkins Diet with all the meat I'm eating--normally I would eat meat only a few times a week and now I'm eating it with every meal. Is increasing my meat intake (even though it is lean) going to have a negative effect on my health?
Thanks!
Scarlett

If texture is the problem....try to puree them first and then add them
