My 1st day menu!

Yesterday was my 1st day on the Beach. Here is my menu....

Breakfast:
2 scrambled eggs with 1 slice of 2% American cheese
2 slices of Turkey bacon
8 oz of tomato juice

Snack:
1 2% cheese stick
1 cup of sf jello

Lunch:
Salad (greens,peppers,tomatoes,cucumber,2% cheese) with 2 tbsp of SB ranch dressing
1 turkey roll up with deli smoked turkey and slice of 2% American cheese
water

Snack:
1/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese
1 dill pickle spear

Dinner:
--Smothered chicken---boneless/skinless chicken breast, mustard and tiny bit of mayo mixed w/ curry powder,mushrooms, 1 slice turkey bacon, and topped with 2% sharp cheddar
--cauliflower mash (sb recipe)
--green beans
--water w/ lime

Dessert
Chocolate ricotta creme (sb recipe)
c/f diet coke at a party

Hi. It looks like you are off to a great start - but you're missing dairy. We need 1-2 cups of dairy per day on South Beach. The dairy guidelines are:







Low-fat milk (fat-free and 1%)




Fat-free 1/2 & 1/2 (less than 2 tablespoons)




Low-fat plain, vanilla, or sucralose-containing soy milk (4 grams of fat or less per 8 ounce serving). Be sure the product does not contain high fructose corn syrup




1% or fat-free buttermilk




Fat-free plain yogurt


Also, just a word of caution...although cheese is considered a protein and technically unlimited, it can be a 'diet-buster' due to the calorie content. You may want to think about cutting back just a little on your cheese servings.

Thanks Karen,
I'll keep that in mind. Today I've only had one serving of cheese and aslo had 8 oz of 1% milk w/ breakfast.
