Phase 1 Plateau??

Is it possible to plateau on Phase 1 during the first 2 weeks? I have 4 days left on Phase 1 and I have been stuck at a 6 lbs loss for a week. I know you aren't supposed to weigh yourself all the time, but that's the only thing that keeps me motivated. When I stopped losing weight I increased my exercise by about 10 mins per session (that's all I can manage at the moment) and I am eating more veggies than dairy and meat. Should I stick with Phase one for the next 4 days or should I switch to Phase 2?

Hi! How much weight have you lost? I think that many of us think that we should see continued and rapid weight loss in phase 1. It's important to remember that our goal is permanent weight loss and that it will not happen overnight. In phase 1 we learn healthy eating habits and detox our bodies of bad carbs. The "whoosh" affect is a bonus and much of it can be water weight and the adjustment to the reduction of carbs.

Don't be discouraged. Stay with phase 1 if you can or if feel you need to see it through. Move to phase 2 if you think you'll be more satisfied with the additional foods. You will continue to lose weight on phase 2, though it likely won't be as rapid as the weight you've already lost.

Hope this helps! Hang in there!!

You're doing great - that's 1/2 pound per day.

Keep up the good work and move on to phase 2 when you're ready.

Yes, its definitely possible to plateau. Your body is taking a breather ;) Don't worry about it though, you'll be on your way to your goal again in no time... just keep at it.
