No more snacks in front of the computer
| Tue, 12-05-2006 - 4:06pm |
I do so well until the time is clicking away in the afternoon and all the snacks are gone. There is nothing low carb in any vending machines and the snacks are just not keeping me full. I know I have over done it w/ the cashews. I don't like veggies much just trying to get through this 2 weeks and this is only my 3rd day. Sitting in front of a computer makes much harder. Any quick snack ideas that is filling I have drunk tons of greentea, and tired of going to the bathroom
HELP

I assume you are at work. The trick is to go to work armed with lots of choices (you can always bring them home or save them for the next day. Bring more snacks than you think you need...just in case. Do you have a small, soft-sided cooler? Pack it with a SB-friendly yogurt, some Laughing Cow Cheese and celery sticks and/or some deli meat rolled up with bell pepper strips and mustard (YUM). Do you have a thermos? Bring some soup, chili or leftovers
Also, have you tried taking metamucil before meals? That really helped with my hunger. And just a thought....I read this in the Dr Phil book. Maybe you're not really hungry but you are used to eating while you are at the computer. I was like that. Everytime I got in front of the computer or in front of the TV, I felt like I had to eat something. Just that thought made me think that I was hungry. So I followed his advice. I would only allow myself to eat at the table. Either at home, in the breakroom, at a friends house, restaurant, etc. It was tough for a few days, but then I ralized that I wasn't hungry. I had just taught myself that if I get in front of the computer, than I have to eat. It was a bad habit I had to break. HTH
