New Here and a question

Hello everyone!
I am new here and have been on the SBD for 7 days now. I was having a bit of a hard time at first because I am a bread lover! My DH is a meat and veggies kind of guy so this has been fine for him, but I was in withdrawal. I think that I am coming out of the slump I was in and ready to continue on with my health without being ready to give up. We have done real well so far! I am just confused about the milk thing. I read in the book that we arent supposed to have milk, but on here I noticed there are several smoothie recipes that include milk and non-fat yogurt and different extracts and sweeteners for phase 1. Please distiguish the differences in phase 1 and 2 for me. I am not big into the eggs, but if I can have a smoothie, this diet may have just turned a new corner for me! Oh my!!! I absolutely love my smoothies. I have one everyday, and it feels like a total cheat. I just have skim milk and add about 6 frozen strawberries, w/ a little sf vanilla syrup. Yum! oh, I just remembered that you are on Phase one. Well, great! You can add different things other that fruit. Like splenda w/ a bit of cocoa. Or get some sf chocolate syrup. I use DaVinci. I had originally ordered my syrups online, but I use the sf vanilla one the most and ran out. I was not prepared and was almost in a panic. I used to panic if I had no chocolate. Now I panic if I have no DaVinci sf vanilla syrup. My, how times have changed. lol Anyways, to my wonderful suprise, I found some at walmart, by their coffees.
Enjoy. And be sure to try the strawberry one in P2. It tasted exactly like a strawberry milkshake.
