I know it's just water weight, but

I lost 4.0 lbs. my 1st day! Whooo-hooo :-) I will try not to weigh myself every day (it's a habit, though) but seeing that scale this morning really made me smile.
Yesterday was OK. I was never hungry, but started having some really bad cravings in the late afternoon. I am actually one who ate (literally) a pt. of Ben & Jerry's almost every night. Lately, with all of the Christmas goodies DDs and I baked, I was eating fudge and cookies throughout the day. Plus I love eggnog and had at least a half gal. each week. Anyhow, I have a lot of sugar cravings to get past these next two weeks!
I did do something nice for myself yesterday. I bought a really nice coffee maker and some delicious hazelnut coffee. I love coffee, but quit drinking it in 2000 when I became pg with DD#1. I decided that if I am "giving up" my favorite sweets as a daily treat I am going to have something else to look forward to! I did buy caffenated coffee and realize that I only get 1-2 C/day, but that's enough for me. I will look for a naturally decafenated coffee on my next trip to town, though. I don't want to get hooked on caffeine again!
Well, DD#1 is up and she needs to do a bit of math before we head out to play. She got a new Disney Princess scooter and DD#2 got her 1st bicycle (Disney Princess, of course!) from Santa, and today is the first day that the weather is nice enough for them to get outside.
Take care, everyone!

That's great Laurie, good for you! Weighing daily is a good motivator for me as well but don't forget that your body will naturally fluctuate a few pounds based on things like sodium intake, PMS, etc.
Keep up the good work and good luck blasting away those sugar cravings!
Congratulations, Laurie!
