Alcohol as a marinade?

My husband and I are starting our second week of phase one today. The first week was a little tough for me, as I'm a SERIOUS chocoholic, but we both did really well. I've been getting a lot of questions answered on here, so thanks for all the great info. We did have one question concerning marinating chicken. We grill a lot of chicken anyway, and we're always trying new ways to improve flavor. We know that alcohol is a no no, which is fine cuz we don't drink very often at all, but what about as a marinade. The alcohol burns off during cooking, but is it still off limits? My husband has a great marinde for chicken, but it calls for a tablespoon of rum and one of triple sec. Just wondering if anyone had an answer, because in the books ( we have all 3), it just says it's off limits as a drink, doesn't mention as a use for cooking. Thanks so much!
