Question about my dinner

I don't think what I had for dinner tonight was wrong but I feel like it was for some reason. Maybe it is because it is the first non recipe I have used. Just want to make sure it was okay. I had one serving of shrimp and then 3 whole eggs sunny side up with pepper and a cup of low-fat milk. The eggs I think I had too many so I wouldn't do that many again if it is okay but if not an okay choice to eat those things then one slip up is okay right? It has been bugging me all night because I know all of those food are on the foods to enjoy list but I guess I am confused on the eggs and egg substitutes and what I really can eat of eggs. I want to do this right but felt like after eating it that it was wrong and that I shouldn't have. Thanks for any information.

Hi Kelly,

There's nothing wrong with eating eggs.

Did you already get in your FULL 4.5 cups of veggies for the day?

I didn't eat any with dinner and it wouldn't have been a bad idea but I ate a lot of celery and broccoli and cucumbers all day. More veggies wouldn't hurt me.

I guess I just was worried I did something wrong. I probably did eat too much and now I know not to eat that much. Thanks for the info on the eggs and that it is okay to eat them. I don't feel guilty anymore about eating them just glad to know my limits on what I personally can eat and what is too much and what is too little. Thanks.

I didn't really count other than I had a lot of celery, broccoli and cucumbers earlier in the day I like to eat veggies for snacks and when I feel like I am hungry. More veggies won't hurt me though so why not have them with dinner. Thanks.

I think you probably get over the eggs soon ...once you get the hang of it you will see there are other "safe " foods you can enjoy. I used to eat alot of eggs in the beginning, now i am at twice a week if I remember!

I like eggs but they aren't my favorite so I am okay with not eating them very often I just used them as something different but I thought about how easy they were to cook and can see myself using them as a buffer so I am going to try not to do that. I hope I get the hang of this soon. It seems pretty easy and you don't have to count points or anything so that is really nice. I wish I would have started sooner but better late than never.
