Hi Joyce,

Welcome to the board!

How about working upper body with light hand weights and you can begin getting your abs in shape with crunches.

Hi there,

For cardio, try the bike. You can also do rowing an a lot of upper body work. If you go to a gym, you can do leg extensions and hamstring curls. You can also do squats and hamstring curls using a balance ball. In fact, you can do a full body workout with the ball and it won't put a lot of pressure on your knees.

Hello:

Phase 1 was pretty tough for me. My sister is starting it today! Yay! So these were my fave snacks for phase 1 and pretty much still are:

Celery spread with laughing cow light cheese
Boiled Edammame w/ sea salt sprinkled on top
string cheese microwaved with a tablespoon of Classico pasta sauce
a cup of turkey chili topped with a little lf shredded cheddar
a handful of nuts
1/2 c. ff cottage cheese w/ diced tomatoes and cucumbers or sugar free jam
V8
deviled eggs or plain hard boiled egg
refried beans with cheese, salsa and a dollop of sour cream
side salad w/ olive oil and vinegar
tuna, chicken or egg salad spread on cucumber rounds (snack sized of course ;)
hummus and assoreted veggies (celery, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, pepper strips, sugar snap peas, etc.)
yogurt with sf syrups stirred in or a peanut butter smoothie 1/2 c. skim, 1/2 c. yogurt, splenda, your favorite sugar free syrup, 1T. all natural peanut butter and a dash of cocoa powder if you want. Whiz it all together and voila...a pb shake.
SB hot cocoa or the SB peanut butter cup
SF Jello, SF fudgsicles and SF popsicles

All of these things were and still are my saving graces!

Good luck and keep at it!

I have to chime in here and say that I am ecstatic about the ham wrapped cream cheese dill pickles!!!

They are my favorite appetizer and I eat them like crazy during the holidays! I'm so glad they are SB friendly :)
