first mistake after 7 days - advise pls
| Sun, 01-14-2007 - 6:15pm |
After 1 week on phase 1 and 6 pounds off, i have managed to break the rules and eat both garlic bread and sweets (chocolate cakes and pralines) on one birthday party. And, i must admit, it wasnt just one piece of chocolate... - but it was really good home made (did i mention i am pure choc adict?)
Now, i managed 7 days without choc, cos there was none in the house, and i was avoiding places where it could be... and i figured next 2-3 weeks there will be no birthay or similar, and i can try again.
Should i just disregard this first week, count it as a failure, and start all over again?
Did anyone had similar flip as me?
Please advise

It has been a while since being on the beach. I just started again this week, and I haven't been nearly as good as you!
I would say that you had one bad day and that is all. Last week was a total success and you should just pick up and keep moving forward. Discount the one day only and not the entire week. What good would this "lifestyle" change be if we can't have a piece of cake or sweet bread every now and then....even if it is an all day binge. Just pick back up, get back on track and keep on moving.
Way to go on the 6 pounds. I am totally jealous. I am still nursing and started with phase two, although clumsily I might add. ;)
Congrats on your success this far. You are just fine! Keep up the great work.

Hi,
Melissa is correct.
"Should i just disregard this first week, count it as a failure, and start all over again?"
Hi daca1, you're going to love the answer in this link.
Thank you all...
been more than helpfull!!
It is nice to see that i am not the only one strugling with the same problems (how selfish this sounded!)
It is also good to get confirmation and support that i am not a failure after only 7 days:))
