I hope you aren't all sick of me by now. Can I ask another question?
Are there any canned tomato pastes, tomato sauces and tomato purees that we need to be careful of?
I'd love to make some sauce and do a chicken parm dish, but I don't know by looking at the cans if they are alright. None of them have sugar in the ingredients, but they do have sugar in the nutrition list.
If you need more info, I can grab the cans and list everything. I'd love to do up a pot of sauce and add some meat for a hearty dish over spaghetti squash as well. Will help my very Italian DH feel like he's got his pasta again!
TIA!
Carla

Tomatos have natural sugar so you will never find a "sugar-free" tomato sauce or paste. You just need to avoid those that have added sugars by looking at the ingredient list. I think you are doing fine.
