WELL... the docs office was packed! and they wanted to draw blood from her because she been sick for a while and then had to give her soem meds and wait for those reults. anyways, i was STARVING! it started to get so tired and faint and dizzy that i just had to eat! i asked the nurse what i should do, and she said there was a snack machine in the lounge, so i went. all there was was cookies and candy and chips. i got a bag of cookies and scarfed them.  oh no! now what do i do?? do i need to start from scratch with my 2 weeks on phase 1?  also, i can of emergency like this again, what can i eat? a cheese stick was not gonna work at 8 am!  is there any grab fast bring with u food, like u would a granola bar or something type thing?  tia!

I hope your DD is feeling better now!

I try to keep boiled eggs in my fridge at all times for those mornings when I don't have time to make something. I throw them in a ziploc & sprinkle them with some s&p & eat them in the car. Boiled eggs, a cheese stick & a can of V8 (I buy the large cans) makes a pretty decent breakfast on the go!

GL! Phase 1 is hard, but things happen & you didn't blow it!

((((((HUGS))))) Don't beat yourself up. If there is one thing I have learned about the SB-Way of life it is to just pick your self up and keep going. One little slip up isn't going to pack on the lbs that you have lost and you don't have to start over at square one.

Like the other PP suggested, I keep a carton of hard boiled eggs in the fridge for those days when I just can't sit down for breakfast and I am forced to eat on the fly. I grab and egg or two and a string cheese stick along with a can of V8 and I am on my way. (I do peel the egg before I leave...peeling a HB'ed egg while driving is kinda hard). Another thing I do is keep sliced up veggies in little ziplock bags so all I have to do is grab a bag and go. I have a serving of veggies in each ziplock bag to help keep track of my servings, and by having them pre-sliced and bagged like this it makes it a very quick and easy snack on the go. If you have to have dip with your veggies maybe keep some dip in little containers, ready to go. That way again you don't need to take the time to get the dip ready, you can just grab and go.

I hope your dd is feeling better...I know how stressed it can be with a sick child and how easy it is to grab something fast (and comforting) during stressful times like that.

Keep up the awesome work and, again, don't beat yourself up for this small incident. It really is minor and insignificant in the grand scheme of things...although I do know that at the time it feels as if everything has been undone.

Amy, that's a great idea about keeping individual servings of veggies in baggies in the fridge. Not sure why I never thought of that... I've tried having veggies in a Tupperware serving platter and it's convenient but it just takes up too much room in the fridge. I'll have to try the baggie route.
