Hi everyone!!
Anyone else starting today?? I am brand new to ivillage and brand new to South Beach. Today is day 1! I am very excited about this diet. I really think it is something I can do. My fridge is stocked and my confidence is high. I am trying to lose those "last 10 pounds" that I have been trying to lose forever! Oh yeah, and I am getting married in 7 weeks! May 5th. Hot wedding body, here I come.

Hi Em,
Welcome!
Hi Em!
I'm new to South Beach too. I'm also getting married soon! on 7/7/07. I tried to start last week but had a rough weekend so I'm starting again today on phase 1. I wish I only had 10 lbs to lose but I have 20+. I'd be happy with 20 but would love more. We can do it!!!
Jenn
Thanks for the warm welcome! One day is down, and 13 more to go on phase 1. Today went very well, but the hardest part is probably still to come- the late evening! I think my fiance and I are going to lift weights in a bit though, so that will curb my appetiteI just had the vanilla ricotta creme and it was suprisingly good.
Jenn, that is awesome that you are getting married too! Don't worry about the 20 pounds, you have time. You can do it! I kind of kept putting of the diet, and now is crunch time. I can't wait to hear how good you do. :) Have a good night!

Well here it is Day 4 and I am going strong. So far the diet hasn't been hard, even though I may be overdoing the snacks. I am feeling a little queesy in the mornings and need to eat right when I get up which I never used to have to do. I am sure my body is just adjusting to the lack of sugar. I LOVE the ricotta creme. Yummy! Who knew it was so tasty. I think I need to cut back on the peanut butter though as it is the regular jif, not a natural kind.
Anyway, as of this morning I have gone from 142 to 139.5. I am excited about it, but still know that my weight can flucuate so much that I won't get too excited until I lose 5 or more pounds and can tell in my clothes. I do feel great though! The first couple days I felt a little bloaty, probably due to eating more dairy than usual, but is gone now. My fiance loves this diet because he is getting a great meal every night!
I forgot earlier to tell everyone my goal... before my wedding May 5th I want to be 129 pounds. I just want to be in the 120's for my wedding! I think the last time I was in the 120's was in 6th grade. Seriously! Take care ladies,
Emily
