tired and weak after exercise

hi! im new! i tried sbd about a year ago. i was 4 days into phase 1 when i decided i'd take a little jog. after 20 minutes of jogging i felt really drained. like i had no energy. i felt i was shaking. so i stopped the sbd.
now i'm exercising again (2x a week) and im not losing weight. so i want to get back on track with sbd again. but im afraid it will happen again. you guys experienced this?

Hi Soleil,
i just finished Phase 1, and I found myself to be a bit tired and weak, so I decided to simply worry about my diet for that phase, and not exercise. It made it so much easier for me, and I still lost 5 pounds, way more than I would have with my old eating habits PLUS exercise.
I think that we all react differently to the major change in diet, and if you know that you are too weak to exercise, than give your body a rest and stick with the diet. It's worth it. I am now in Phase 2, and exercise is no longer an issue for me. I have plenty of energy for a jog or a tae bo class.
Good luck!

i can't hold off the exercise i just signed up for a trainer. the reason i wanted to go back to the beach was that i wasn't losing weight for the past 3 weeks (working out twice a week). im 5/4 and i weigh 190 when i started working out. now i weigh 193lbs. so instead of losing i gained weight.
so anyway, i was thinking of going to phase 2 whenever i go to the gym and switch back to phase 1 during the off days. would it work? or am i just yoyo-ing?
The 3 pounds you gained could be muscle or water retention from exercise.
Hi soleil,
Welcome back! Are you starting to feel any better?
yes! i do.
i did phase 1 for about 4 days. i lost roughly 4lbs., but i had eat rice (white) because i forgot to get either wheat bread or brown rice from the grocer before hitting the gym.
yes i feel more energetic. although i felt like throwing up while and after the work out. i think its because my stomach is used to lighter things.
i think i'll just stick to phase 2.
thanks for the support!
Glad to hear you're feeling better. Let us know if you need anything!
Hi! Glad you are feeling better..
Just an idea for you:
I eat 2.5 or 3 hours before my workouts, so that I don't feel too icky (like throwing up) during them. After the workout, I will eat again! : )
I make sure I don't have much more than some turkey and a salad..and then 3 hours later I workout...by the time I"m done, I'm starving and ready for more food..but not icky...
Hope things continue to go well for you!
