4 more days to go and I am done with phase 1. I have done good and I am so proud of myself because:
1. The one and only cheat I had was last night (a handful of cheese balls from one of those 100 cal packs). I am proud of this because I have been able to pinpoint a weekness.....cheese balls. I will stay far far away from cheese balls!
2. I was able to stay strong and not cheat at all while my husband was out of town last week. This is usually the time I eat like a pig, and get generally sweetie sweetie stuff to enjoy all by myself after the kids go to bed.
3. Most importantly, I am down 7 lbs and feel a little better.
On Monday I begin Phase 2! I begin a great beginner running program I found on a running board here. And I can't wait to see how Phase 2 goes!!!!

Congrats on a successful phase 1!!
You're gonna love phase 2. Check out the Starting Phase 2 folder below and let us know if you have any questions!!
Woohoo!!
Congrats Rachel!!!! I am right along with you. Monday I begin Phase 2. I can't wait.
This diet is awesome! Its good that you realize what your weaknesses are. I found that cashews are mine so I have been monitoring that. I must admit though I have gone over my 15 cashew allowance more than once. I hope the scale is kind when I weigh in on Sunday.

Good Luck! I will check back and see how you did. I have also gone over my nut allowance more than once! But, I figure it is better than grabbing a bag of chips! I try to go for the Pistachios because they take longer to eat. And by the time I get down 30, I am generally ready to stop cracking!!! :)
I am more than a little worried about the coming weeks and staying good. This weekend my sister is coming from out of town with all of her kids and my whole family is coming for dinner. I am going to try to make SB friendly sides, grilled chicken, and maybe an SB friendly dessert. Then, my kids bdays are within a week of each other the following two weekends(Maryn, 4 and Dylan, 3)......and I LOVE bdays!!! Cake, ice cream sundaes....you name it! That is going to take a lot of willpower! But, I am dedicated to do well or allow myself a treat and move on.

Congratulations on everything!
Don't worry. B day party's always hard for me as well. It killed me on Tuesday to be at my sisters b day party and not eat any of my favorite stuff. I didnt eat a morsel or drink a morsel. I brought my own SBD meal and drank water while everyone else was drinking alcohol, eating pizza and B day cake. O well I figure hey I will have to make that sacrafice if I want to reach my goals. I think preparing SBD meals will help a great deal.
You can do it. Its not gonna be easy but think of what you want to accomplish.

That is a really great way of looking at it!! There are many things I enjoy eating that my husband tolerates. I love to try new recipes but often do not for fear that he will not like it and be left hungry. So I tend to stick to things I know he will like. Especially now in Phase 1 for both of us, I know he is very hungry at the end of the day and the last thing I want to do is fix something that he deemes "gross".
