Hi everyone!

I'm gonna start SBD with al the positive thoughts in the world! But i need ur help to set my expectations right! first of all i am female 24 yrs, betwwen 5'6" or 7" and around 132 pounds.. i exercise regularly and im fit. however i am always on somesort of low calorie diet cuz i really gain weight in no time, and have difficulty losing it. and by difficulty i mean i could follow diets for months and lose 1 pound!!
i dont eat much rice or pasta anyway...ive done blood tests and i have low metabolism for a fact.

SO, do u guys have any insights abot SBD for me, should i super limit my portions or make sure not to eat too much veggies or anything!!

seriously any tip you say will be helpful!

thanx alot, all i want is to lose 5 pounds and keep them off!!

another question is, what if, for any unknown reason someone slepped during the diet and had 'a piece' of something not allowed, is all the effort gone!!?!

Thanks!!!

hello!

this is day 7 on SBD, actually day 5 because of the coffee with sugar mishap! but i didnt not weigh myself..

what i wanna say is that yesterday my friends and i went to spend the a day on the beach and we slept there.. so i wanna congratulate myself on following the diet.. didnt have any alcohol or chips or cookies or sandwich or pizza!!

however i might have more than 2 cups of half skimmed yogurt, that was the only thing in the mini market i could have besides diet sodas!
and i had a piece of cheese, emental, not low fat.. and for lunch/dinner i had a steak in mushroom sauce and a salad.. that was all i could find that is close to SBD menu..

was i on the right track or should i have just had salad because of the sause on the steak ??
and what about the yogurt?

i just wanna set my expectations right and know if there is something i should eat less of for the coming days to balance..

thanx a million! but i have to say im broud of myself i didnt munch!!

Hi,

I'm feeling great! i thought i would miss the fruits, but low fat yogurt is doing the trick!

tha half skimmed yogurt is actually a yogurt drink.. it's popular in the arab states.
its nestle but i couldnt fint it online. its called nesvita pro digestiong.
its says in every 100gr
energy is 58 cal.
fat: 1.5 gr
protein: 4.38
carbohydrate: 6.8
fibers: 0.92

maybe u could make smthng of the above info!!

the numbee question is, if the yogurt and the sauce had some fats in them.. does this still make the phase 1 effect going on?

The yogurt and sauce shouldn't have any negative effect in phase 1.

how come broad beans are allowed in phase 1 while their GI is high?
whereas black eyed peas have lower GI and arent allowed??

i know in the list posted in another discussion here there was black eyed peas in the allowed in p1, however on other sites it said they werent, along with carrots, barley, beets , corn ,sweet potatoes...

plz shed some light here!

thanks Cathy!

i think that's were all the confusion was coming from, old vs new verions..

I'm glad to inform u that today i'm starting day 9 in p1. and i lost the 4.4 lbs that i only lose when im in some sort of crash diet!! this time i lost them on SBD, whith exercise and weight training and i am actually eating well!!

i'm in love with SBD! now im 128lbs, this weight i havent gone past it for like 4 yrs, so i hope i pass it during the rest of p1!!

im feeling great, im not hungry throuhgout the day like i used to be when on low cal diets...

thank you for ur support, seriously, this forum is the best.

Hello!

I'm starting phase 2 on monday, havent weighed myself again since week1 in phase1, but I am feeling good about it!

I have been reading several posts in the forum, about starting P2.. i have a question, when i introduce my starch and fruit, do i take them INSTEAD of something i was already eating or do i add to my P1 meals?
For example, i'm used to 2 eggs in the morning, lets say im gonna add the starch here, do i make it one egg then?
cuz i'm worried about the calories :S
i know i have to eat well too, so i'm still worried.

thanks!
