How is it going

Just wondering how phase 1 is going for everyone going through it right now?

I'm nearing the end and i'm feeling pretty good. Eating healthy isn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. I don't even think of cheating at this point either. The side effect of dropping pounds sure is a great motivator.

I'm on day 4 of phase one, and so far mostly so good! I really don't ever feel hungry, but I do notice I've been much more tired lately and my workouts (I already worked out 6-days a week before starting the diet) have been more difficult to get through. I'm keeping it up though! I read on another thread that feeling tired and cranky are normal in the early part of phase 1.

I'm on day three of phase one and it's going okay so far. There have been a couple brief challenges, as my husband is a chips, oatmeal cream pie, and ice cream kind of guy; sitting next to him eating his pop tart for breakfast and making him his sandwich for lunch....But, I've gotten through it great - I just remember the ultimate goal of a healthier life, and think about how great I feel after my meal of lean meats and veggies. I have to focus on the end product - not just of the weight loss, but even of the current meal I'm preparing. I have to think of how I will feel in the long run versus the immediate satisfaction of what he's having.

I'm not forcing him in any way to join me, but I hope that in time he might see changes in me and want the same for himself. I do incorporate my fresh veggies into his meals as well as the lean meats - I just add the starch for him.

It's great not to feel hungry all the time. I've had craving moments, but quickly grab a small snack of allowed foods or just try to dwell on the long-lasting benefits, and it passes.

Good luck - and thank you all for your encouragement. I'm glad I found this message board - it's a real motivation!
