Breakfast question

Good morning,
I am new to this board as well new to the SBD. I started this morning. I read the book and I have to admit, I still had lots of questions on how to organize meals. But thank God for this Board. You guys are all wonderful and the questions threads helped me a lot. The link for Phase 1 was especially helpful. However, I would like to ask a question about cheese and breakfast. Does cheese count as a protein portion of the breakfast and is it limited somehow. I am talking about the part skim cheese strings or low fat ricotta.
Thank you so much and here goes day #1. I'll keep you guys posted (and I am sure I'll come back with questions).

Hi! I'm sure the smart folks with all the answers will be here soon. =) I just wanted to pop in and say, "hi" and "good luck"! You've found a great place for support!

Thank you so much Teresa. I just realized that I didn't include my name in the original posting. I am really new to Boards :-)

Hi Rindala,
Welcome!
Hi Rindala and welcome! I'm glad you found us and that our message board has been helpful already!!
Cheese is considered a protein on SB and is therefore unlimited.
Thank you all for your replies.
I will be careful about the cheese and not using it for most of my proteins. I'll keep reading the various posts for ideas and suggestions.
Thanks again.
Rindala
Just wanted to say good luck... I am also in phase 1 -- day 6! I think the time has really flown by.
I am probably eating more cheese than I should. I typically sprinkle some on my eggs in the morning, then have 1-2 low-fat cheese sticks during the day (snack and sometimes lunch) and then have another sprinkle on my salad at dinner. The sprinkles definitely are not full servings, but basically some days are better than others!
I think once I get into phase 2 and have more options, it might be easier for me to cut back on it.
This board is great... welcome!
