Thinking ahead...

I have to say I'm a little intimidated to move on to P2. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the planning - it took me 2 hours to plan my menu for this week in P1, and another 1.5 hours in the grocery store to find everything!

Plus, I'm terrified to add in foods, even though I know I need to.

By the way - I'm back on track again because I planned well. Thanks to those of you who supported me when I posted about a "do over". I know I will have hardships in life I will have to deal with no matter how I'm eating, and I don't expect life to be easy before I start a way of eating. I'm not so naive as to think I'll have the "perfect" moment to start SB, and I need to wait for that. Life happens. I'm happy for those out there who can stick to things no matter what life throws at them - maybe someday that will be me! However, I am doing the best that I can with what I have, and I don't feel bad about starting over on P1. Emotional eating is a problem with me, so I'm learning other ways to deal with problems than throwing caution to the wind and eating. So far, so good this week!

Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest! Any tips for moving on to P2 would be appreciated. I still have another week to go on P1, but I thought I should be wise and plan ahead somewhat.

Thanks!

Thanks, Kathy! I am missing cantaloupe and strawberries, plus I need to have a banana every day because of the blood pressure medicine I am on. I'm OK without the banana daily for two weeks because of all the other veggies I'm having (lots of potassium in some of the salad greens and broccoli, I think!). So I guess I'm really looking forward to fruits.

Most of the carbs/breads I had been eating were atrocious (i.e.: french toast sticks, waffles, cheese crackers, granola bars, Special K cereals, etc.), so though I miss them as well, I don't think I'll be back to those in any phase of SBD!

I'm enjoying the foods very much, and my DH is loving it as well. We had steak the other night, and that is something that almost never happens around here!

Have to run - thanks for all you do around here. It must be exhausting to constantly answer questions and post links to things over and over again! I know I appreciate it, and I'm sure everyone else does too! :)
