A Few Questions - Phase 1

Hi Everyone,

I'm on Day 8 of P1 (one week left!), and I found this board on my first day of P1 and have been checking back often. It has been an immense help this last week. I did have a few questions and just wanted some feedback:

First, about yogurt. I've been faithfully eating the plain, fat free kind with some extract and Splenda mixed in as suggested. This weekend, my husband and I made our bi-monthly trip to our enormous supermarket. They have a lot more variety of everything then my regular Super Target. My husband found this kind of yogurt - Blue Bunny brand, called Lite 85. It comes in fruit flavors, but it says it is sweetened with Splenda and has no added sugar. Here is the nutritional value:
Calories: 80
Fat: 0
Total Carb: 11g
Dietary Fiber: 0
Sugars: 7g
Protein: 7g

Would this be OK to eat on P1? If not, could someone just explain to me why because I checked it against the FF plain kind, and this brand actually has less sugars!

Second - just wanted some feedback. My husband and I went out to dinner on Friday and I was nervous because I wasn't sure what I could eat. I wound up ordering chicken fajitas. It was just grilled, sliced chicken breast strips with sauteed red/green peppers and onions. I assume it was sauteed in oil - I *think* canola, but not positive. I just ate the chicken and veggies, and mixed in a little salsa and a little gaucamole. I did not eat the cheese or sour cream it came with as I was concerned they would be full fat variety. I obviously did not eat the tortillas. Do you think this was an OK choice for P1?

I know I saw a thread around here somewhere (now I can't find it) about what brands are people favorites for different types of foods. If someone could point me toward that thread, I'd be most appreciative!

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi!

The Blue Bunny yogurt is a good choice when you reach phase 2. The sugars in yogurt are occur naturally and are not 'added' (which we try to avoid). Fruit flavored yogurt

That dinner sounds really good! I never thought about ordering fajitas and just not eating the tortillas. Great idea!

Thanks everyone! Again, this forum has been a great help. Can't believe I'm *almost* to Phase 2 - I'm really missing fruit. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I transition into Phase 2. I weighed myself yesterday and I lost about 4 lbs in the first week - not too shabby!
