Ok, so today i'm doing good. I just signed up for a gym last night and my b/f and i are both gonna go tonight and be eachothers support. His parents have let us know that they will help me and watch the baby when i want to go workout..so thats a big help. Breakfast today consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon and coffee. Lunch consisted of spinach with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and shrimp with the south beach diet ranch dressing on the side. Morning snack consisted of 1/2 cup cottage cheese. My afternoon snack will be a mozzarella cheese stick, and dinner will be corn and grilled chicken with 1/4 cup of alfredo sauce. Is this sounding like a pretty good day to anyone? I am on phase 1 right now. Any other advice from anyone. I'm feeling pretty satisfied. I pretty much only ate when i was hungry, which i've always done but limited myself portion wise. I'm not used to only eating a small salad for lunch but it was filling. I've had 3 bottles of water today, 2 in which i put sugar-free flavored pouch into. I can't take having just plain water, had enough of that while i was pregnant.
Anyway, i'll will write tomorrow on my 2nd day.
Happy with the diet so far. I'm not feeling bloated and full, this is a good thing.

Things sound good except the corn. Corn is a very startchy veggie and is only allowed in limited amounts in phases 2 & 3.

No i didn't make it myself but i checked the ingredients and there wasn't anything listed that was on the forbidden list.

I believe it is made with low fat milk, but i don't remember the brand.

hey heather! it sounds pretty good to me like you have things under control and very
organized. although i am new here at ivillage I DID the sbd while back and i believe according to the SBD book you could not have corn in phase 1. did you see it on any list?
if so please let me know because i also like corn especially on the cob.
i started again on the SBD last sunday so i have been on it for about a week,and i did pretty good, it sounds like you will do great! as for the water! i feel the same, so i was told by our cl cathy that i can have crystal light but no more than 2-3 srvings, and that i can also have iced tea w/splenda.. so i figured if i have 2 8oz crystal light and 2 8oz iced tea than it will be a lot easier to have 2-3 16oz bottles of water.

Yeah i haven't had anymore corn cause it wasn't on a list anywhere. I also drink the crystal lights but the store brand (cheaper) and i only have 2 of them a day, i drink about 4 bottles of water a day. So my morning water i put it in and then mid-day i drink another bottle with none in it and then afternoon i drink 1 with it in it and then my night bottle i don't put any in, so i pretty much have a regimen for my water...:)
