Hi there, I started SBD May 19th.(half way through Phase 1). I have the book, it has been very helpful. I love to read the testimonials and the recipes. For breakfast everyday - tea - eggs - scrambled with lean ham, veggies and cheddar(its not low fat cheddar but its what I had)- snack - cheese stick - I remember to bring it with me. Lunch is usually turkey, lettuce wrap - with tomato - I love the idea of using lettuce as the wrap!-snack - hard boiled egg or a whole tomato. Sometimes the snack becomes lunch and lunch becomes snack but I am never left hungry. Dinner is salad nightly, I add a chicken breast, turkey or lean ham if the salad is not enough. The SBD hamburger on lettuce for bun with cheese and veggie is really good too. I drink lots of water, and was really glad to see the post regarding cystal light - I had that same question. I also drink diet coke(1 per day) - its not caffine free but I'm still doing fine. I don't find that the caffine makes me crave anything. I'm not much of a dessert person. If I feel like I need something after my walk I will have 10-15 whole almond or a quarter size piece of cheese. I have always had a tea before bed, it relaxs me while I read and the caffine doesn't bother me.
I had tried other diets but I don't think my mind was in the right place. Its definitely there now. I don't know why now, nothing happened but I'm glad because I'm ready to stick with the program. I'm not finding it difficult at all. I also walk nightly with my husband or friend. my starting weight 164lbs height 5'2" - my goal 130-135lbs
